Nope they are the 2000 Z28 chrome 10-spokes, I was thinking of the 04ish Z06 rims and have them custom made for 17x9.5 and 17x12 so I could do a 325,335 tire.

i want to leave my stock 16'' x 9.5'' t/a rims on front and put some chrome zr1 17'' x 11'' on the back

has a reverse flow coolant system that allowed for higher compression with out detonation then 2001 they change the block and heads (ls6) with jumped the hp up to 405 and the f body got the intake and some very few got the ls6 block etc....

The only cobras to get S/C'ing is the 03-04 terminators..and its more like 375+ rwhp add a few bolt ons and your close to 400+...They can make 700hp hp on stock internals due to forged rods and pistons,etc

Also...IIRC the LT1's are reverse flow

Also the LS6 heads,cam and intake give it 405hp..not the block

To OP a ported throttle body would really only help you so give it a shoot! good luck. Install university has a good writeup on the free mods

I've heard that the trouble-to-worth ratio isn't enough to justify dedicating the time it takes to do it.

i said above they change the block and heads and got a new intake the cam did not help them gain any hp cuz it is smaller than the previous cams except for the z06 got a more aggressive cam

and the block does help the hp if it wasn't for it no hp would be put out at all
the stroke and push rod location and piston size help the hp out the oil system also effect performance

and if mustangs put that much hp down then there something wrong cuz i haven't done much to my car and i can beat them by 2 cars 1 guy put a vortec s/c and a cam also had some head work done and i beat him by 1 car from 40 roll and 3 from a dig

and i never said that the lt1 wasn't reverse flow


and porting the tb is worth it
there has been proven 8 - 14 hp gains from this depending on how well it is done it also help throttle response if it wasn't worth doing people would pay 50 - 200 dollars to have it done even more gains if you do

free ram air / lid / ported maf / belows / ported tb / coolant by pass / intake

Your not increasing the size of the TB so how can you gain up to 14hp from it?

All you are doin is helping it flow somewhat better. The size of the butterfly is staying the same.

Aslo I said 03-04 COBRA..not Mustang. I dunno what your mods are but you better be on your A-Game if the guy can drive. They run 12's w/ a good driver "stock"

the butter fly is 78mm but there is a ridge right before it that makes it about 74mm that were most of the power comes from when porting them the rest is mostly help them flow alot better and the more flow the more hp and on some of the more expensive tb they bore them out to a 80mm and but a thiner butterfly in it that is 80mm

most people in my town cant drive they come of the line 5-6 rpm lol spin to long and by the time they catch traction im gone lol

and a cobra is a mustang just like a ss is a camaro or firehawk is a trans am / firebird

outlawz28 a cobra is not a mustang in the same sense that a ss or ws6 is just a camaro or firebird, the cobra comes with a completley different engine than the base model gt's. the cobras are a dohc 32 valve and the gt's are a sohc 16 valve engine, and as someone else in the thread stated only the o3-o4 cobras came with the roots style blower you mentioned earlier. i doubt if this is the car you put one car on from a 40 roll. i had a 03 cobra and from a 40 roll with only a cai and catback i beat my friends full bolt on ss by about a half a car and both of us can drive

Not exactly..Like the guy above stated..Different engine..(99+) got a IRS rear,different brakes,etc

who cares about mustangs this is a chevy site but to prove what i was saying earlier that they come with 325 to the wheels take a look at this and this also shows that a ls1 will spank a mustang
