That's what I was thinking.

These cars have great throttle response in stock form, but, a ported TB will improve it. However, it won't solve another issue if one is present.

Thats what he said and a few months ago i was cleaning my maf and it didnt look smooth when i looked at it, like he said. But im gonna check again tomorrow.

But if i have already had it done what performance differences would i have noticed?

you most likely wouldnt notice anything. someone with a highly tuned butt dyno might notice a very small increase in mid range power and throttle response.

man i'm telling you this for your best interest. i can guarantee you that your car has all of this little **** done to it. why would the previous owner not do them? just have fun with the car for right now, learn about them and what the different mods do and how they work before you tinker around with it more. and with only 21k miles on it, you shouldnt need any real maintenence on it.

if i were you, i'd call up the previous owner and ask him exactly what all was done. right now you are kind of hit or miss since you arent familiar with these cars. if that cant be done, take it to the track one night, dont race it, just enjoy yourself and talk to some guys with these cars. maybe you can get one of them to give it a good once over to see if anything needs attention, and give you some pointers on mods.

OK what do u think about getting a dumped exhaust? By just cutting the y pipe where it meets and maybe adding another foot of piping to each side and putting some bullets on do u think that is a good idea?

Or should i just stay with the borla catback, with the muffler off.

sure you could get duals, but since you're lowered, you're really going to have to watch bumps and such as some dual kits dont provide the clearance a y pipe/catback does. they do sound much better.

i have borla, and i didnt like the tips. i really prefer dumped exhaust look on camaros, so i took my tips off. sometimes i think about getting duals, maybe after i do a cam. right now it works and there are other things i need to do.

Ya i mainly just scrape the **** out of the cross bar of the sub frame connectors. But do u think its work even getting it done if i still use the cats and the y pipe cut (so that theres two pipes)?

it might have an ls6 cam in it with the power you're making, and you would never know from the sound.

with duals, you will want to run an X or H pipe so that the two sides have a pressure balance. it's very possible, a good exhaust shop or speed shop will have no problem modifying your exhaust for a dual setup. plus you could sell your borla on here for enough to pay for your duals.

I dont think so because i have almost all of the receipts of what the past owners have done to the car. Unless it was stock.

with the mods you have, you should be in the 340-350 range, that's why we're questioning the cam. im not saying you are lying about the numbers, they are just high for an automatic bolt on car.
