What's the difference in LS2 cars?

What's the difference in LS2 cars? Hi there,
Yup. I'm a newbie. And one thing I really couldn't figure out by poking around on here is what is the differences in the LS2s that came in the Vettes and GTOs compared to the Trailblazer? Is there more to it than just an oil pan difference?
I have a 66 Nova, and found somebody who is selling an LS2 from a Trailblazer. Not sure if its worth looking at though, for some reason they pulled the fuel rail and intake off before they removed the engine (supposedly to avoid breaking anything). To me, I'm wondering if the motor had troubles, so they started wrenching, and found out they should just dump it and move on. Its out of the blazer right now with no intake, so there's no way to here it run.
