Default 98 c5 or 2000 z28

i already own the z28 and its paid for its completely stock. automatic. 57K on it no leather or t-tops. but i have always wanted a vette, well i have found i could prolly get. my biggest thing is mods are alot cheaper for the z, do you think its worth it to move up to a corvette. or are most mods still pretty much the same. the corvette is a 98 automatic with 68K i think they both have rebuilt titles but that don't bother me to much. thanks for the replies

how much is it going to cost for you to get the vette? i would keep the Z, unless you want a 2 seater.

i didn't have an LS1 F-body before i bought my Vette but my '96 Z28 was pretty modded. I LOVED my Z but there is just something about a CORVETTE that get's the blood going Trust me, i can feel the heart rate come up everytime i start it and it's fun gettin' looks when i'm out cruisin'. You can't go wrong with a C5. I love mine and wouldn't look back~Cole~

When I bought my Z I was looking at Vettes and the only thing that steered me away was the fact that I like to do all my mods myself. Have you looked to see how much it takes to simply change the clutch in these cars. Just my opinion. Dont get me wrong because Id buy a new Vette tomorrow if I had the cash to pay someone to work on it.

I was contemplating the same thing myself for a while but decided to keep my car and rather invest $$$ to mod my current transam. You already own it and can afford to do as you will with it. Yes of course you get the looks with a vette (I mean who wouldn't want one) but if its performance for a cheaper price you know what to do. If I do get me a new vette when I graduate college I will definitely keep my much faster transam as well.

Look at my Sig. Exactly 1 month ago I sold my 2001 SS. I miss the car dearly but still have my 98 Trans Am. I sold my SS to get a Vette. I would prefer a 05-07 LS2 Vette but a C5 will do!

^^^ in this case i would have kept the SS and gotten a Vette but i'm not a huge T/A fan. Get a black Vette and you'll have a sweet garage~Cole~

i think they both serve different purposes. i would get both! the camaro is your raw go-fast muscle car. the corvette is your refined sports car. i plan on getting a camaro within the next year, then saving for a vette (then who knows what else!)

i would love to keep the z, and then buy the vette but there is no way i could do that at this time. im really leanin towards the vette now thats all i've been thinkin about the last few days. i'm gona call on the vette tomorrow and find out some more about it. my hopes are to trade the z and maybee alittle cash for this vette but if they want to much then i will just keep the z and mod it like i was gona this winter anyway then.
