x2.....almn d-shaft would be a waste of money. unless you were putting some huge numbers down, then a new type of d-shaft would be good. my guess would be 34x hp to the rear after the dyno!

i just wanted to get rid of that heave steel on that mine came with. Thats right I somehow got a steel one from the factory in an 01 z28. Is that normal? I thought i was suppose have an aluminum one too... It was only 100 bucks and in great shape, wont it help me out a little since its a good deal lighter and thus being less power loss through the drivetrain?

hmmm didnt see that one coming. Yeah a little bit lighter no doubt. Maybe good for a few more horsey's. You know now that I think about it, some cars did come with the steel. I think. Not 100% certin.

Normaly, i would guess realistic numbers like 330-340 but in my A4 car, w/ pacesetter LT's, ORY, cut out, ls6 intake, lid, i made 334whp 340wtq, so 340+ for him is very reasonable

I vote one dollar, Bob...

I want to say 345... I have the same mods except magnaflow catback and ported/polished throttle body, and I got 350hp with a very good tune.

hows about these #'s.... 352rwhp and 372rwtq..... Im as surprised as you guys. my tuner says hes only seen 370 torque on one other car as his dyno reads a little bit low even for a dynojet... not bad 159,xxx and going strong!

What????? Thats bullshit. No way in hell 372tq. I want to see a dyno sheet, and not someone elses. THere is just no way. Im a non believer, Im sorry, not trying to be a dick, just dont lie about this around here. I dont know how your car can dyno that high, but other cars with identicle mods only dyno 340-350hp and the same numbers tq with a tune also.

Yea, I know its high, but i dont need to lie on a car forum. Actually Nick posts on here, feel free to pm him if you dont wanna believe that my dyno sheet is gonna be mine. he post's under Nickn20, hell remember...

p.s. put wrong hp# up, it was actually 352... wanna tell me im lieing again? dont get me wrong, I see where your coming from, but you werent there... dyno chart coming tomorrow since you have me all worked up about it...

"darrensls1": Liar, liar pants for hire.

"JTelesone": Darrensls1, it's pants on fire.

"darrensls1": Well you should know it...................LIAR!

Just a little spongebob humor. It's a little higher then normal but not that much considering it's an M6. Just remember that dyno numbers are just a tuning tool. They don't win races.

Grats on hitting 352 rwhp and good luck.

THANK YOU!!! why are so many people so worried about the NUMBERS the dyno is there is tune your car... not for a pissing match, yes the torque is high. But my first question to nick was how was the afr. Im sure everyone will like the dyno sheet and power per mod's ive got. but im more happy of the afr being a DEAD on 12.5 the whole way through.

The only significant power gain mod is the exhaust. Yeah the other bits will add a couple of HP, but not massive.

Lets say 350hp stock, add about 30hp for exhaust and about 10hp for other bits. I would say the exhaust would have had a bigger gain is heads and cam were installed.
Lets say perhaps its 400hp with all the mods, loose 16% in the transmission I would say maximium of 336rwhp.

AFR of 12.5 is good to aim for to start with.
Perhaps 12.5 AFR up to 4400rpm, then lean it out to 13.1AFR to about 5800rpm then go richer again for safety.

theres only three power mod's anyway. The headers and the exhuast make most of it thats obvious, but the intake w/ k&n, and the udp are substantial and the aluminum driveshaft just adds to it. Out here in ca you only want an AFR of 12.5 becuase of out shitty *** 91 fuel. (unless you wanna go race gas). The stock hp rating counts for nothing either, the car is only rated at 310 anyway (stock #'s are in the sig) so your math doesnt really make sense either. Why would you say 336 wheel MAX when people have clearly made more than that already? Thats such a vague statement, none of it makes sense... Please read the whole thread before posting, the car made 352 RWHP/ 372 RWTQ....

On top of all that I would never post those #'s and reference a tuners shop and name to give credit for the work if the #'s werent true.
