IMO The best way is to have a system that sounds and alerts you, something that kills the vehicle, and something that tracks the car. This covers all your bases that way if they do tow it then you have lojack to track them. Nothing is 100 percent but the combo of those 3 will definately increase the chance of preventing theft or having it returned. Obviously you want to prevent it but if the load it up then they are being tracked...thats really the best choice in that situation

I take it that I'm pretty lucky.
My car stays in the garage unless I'm driving it.
And if I drive it to work, it'ss in a controlled entrance/exit, guarded parking lot by Barney Fife's.
However, there is NO defense for tow trucks!
