Default 98 TA on craigslist for 2900

I am going to my parents for thanksgiving. So I was checking Craigslist to see if I could find anything I wanted to buy while I was there. I came across this 98 ws6 for only 2900. Here is the Link So I zip them an email to see if it is available. Got be a typo right?

Here is the responce:

Hello,
First of all I want to thank you for your interest for my Trans Am. I sell at this price ($2,900) because I just finished the divorce with my husband. When the divorce was finished I became the owner of this car. Now as a women I don't need it. This car is in excellent working conditions, no scratches, flaws or any kind of damage, slightly used in 100% working and looking conditions and comes with a clear title, 3 months transferable warranty.
From the begining you have to know that for the payment I request only secure pay, I prefer the payment to be done using eBay's services.
We will use a safe payment method because I am affiliated at eBay and I have a purchase protection account of $20.000. The final price that I want for this car is $2,900 including shipping and handling.
I will wait your answer (if you are interested to buy) very soon!
Thank you,
Johanna

It could be real, but I would place my bet on being a scam. Show up and pay cash, where's the problem there?

Did anyone notice the two different locations of this car, in the first link its at Fort Smith which is in Arkansas. But in the second link the car is located in Baltimore, MD. This doesn't sound right at all, I think you might be wasting your time.

Did anyone read the whole thing? Whats the deal with the factory single exhaust pipe which delivered more power than later systems with dual tips?!? It also said the car was lady owend. The poster said the woman told him she got from her husband in the divorce, seems shady to me.

Single 1 out the left 3.5" is correct for q 1998 Ws6/SS car. They're rare to still see, since they look stupid with the cutouts on the bumper and one not used.

This is no questions asked a scam. I would not sell my car with more miles for 3-4 times that price.

Not a 98', those seats were not available in 98. 98 cars had a complete leather back, and no cargo net. The power options on the seats are also the newer style, scam for sure!

Sounds like a great idea. It's in one of two listed locations. Bring cash so when they you they won't have any trouble with cashing a check!
