I've seen this too, but I think it was a regular gas motor they used when I seen it, we have a local guy who does this and you can really tell when he's been to KFC!!!!
it's "bio-diesel" because it undergoes combustion the same way as diesel....not by a spark, but by compression.

do some research on bio-diesel, and you can probably figure out how it works.

and there may have been more than one show, but the one i saw, he was using standard diesel engines. bio-diesel would have the same effect on a gasoline engine as regular diesel; in other words, not good.

My F-Bodies are pretty decent on gas. My modded WS6 gets about 20 MPG with my heavy foot. My others get around 22 - 25. I've been driving my 96 Vert as a daily lately and it gets pretty awesome mileage, I haven't calculated it yet but i'm at 175 miles and not at half tank yet. The only thing I've got with better mileage is my 93 Ranger 4 cylinder which pulls about 30 MPG.

Good luck with that Prius.

I'm with everyone else. They'd have to charge me 30 or 40 dollars per gallon before I don't take it out. Unfortunately, they already salted the roads here, so if it happens before spring than I won't...you know, until it warms up.

Couldn't have said it better myself. You at least have the DoD in your truck, right? Mine's an 04 and I don't even want to know what I'm getting (around 15 mixed I guesstimate).

I won't stop driving my Camaro no matter what the gas prices are. Driving a hot-rod is soothing to me, and it sure as hell beats the price of therapy. I won't even stop driving my Chevelle (~600hp BBC + 150 N20) when gas prices get that high. You only go around once, and your not gonna take it with you.

Don't get a prius

my thoughts exactly, dude you didnt think about the chance of gas prices going up when you bought your car? cas has been going up for a long *** time, if you cant afford to drive it maybe you should find another job???

I'll just start riding my bike more than usual....get 40+ mpg and still not be in a Prius. I dont know of anyone that bought an Fbody just for gas mileage reasons.

Everyone that is bitching about the gas price and driving a LS1 car just ship them to me. I will in turn ship you a nice eco car in return. Done. No more problems.

Would you like that rice stir fried?

Well, yeah I'll still drive my Z if gas prices hit $4. Like I tell my friend when he bitches about the gas mileage of his Jeep with an SBC350 "If you were that concerned about gas mileage, go buy yourself a gay rocket ship." Gay rocket ship is how the guy who helps work on my car's dad refers to hybrids...I picked it up

Thats what I'm ******* talking about. When your 80 and everybody has switched over to electric, your going to be brewing gasoline in your basement.

I parked my f-body for the winter to drive my daily which is an Expedition.. so really I went way down in mpg. Yea gas prices suck but just like insurance you have to have it.. I just pay it and go on about my business.

I would love even now to just buy a pos DD for a hundred dollars let my car sit while I make random trips across town, however I will still drive it. 10 mpg in down really puts a hurt on the wallet.
