Okay, just checking. It seems like everybody expects these cars to still have single digit mileage numbers if anybody even dares asking a reasonable price for them.

It may be worth that much, however you could find a much better deal. If I was willing to pay corvette prices I would not be buying an f body.

You could find a decent C5 for 20k, but not one with low miles, M6, and in mint condition.

He doesn't need one with low low miles. The LS1 is stout. Higher miles won't bother it plus the C5 is 10X's a better car then the f-body.

For my 20k, I'd much rather have a mint condition, show quality fbody than a ragged out C5 with 80k+ miles on it.

If its a WS6, I wouldn't pay more than $18k. If not, I wouldn't pay more than $15k.

I think you might be the only one. Most C5 owners don't beat the **** out of there cars like F-body owners do.

I paid 15 for my 01 WS6 convertible and they didn't build many so some jack the price up because of it.

20k is definatly too high.
dont be like me and pay to much for a car even if its exactly what you want, i did and wish id have not gotten so antzy about getting the car i wanted. i paid a few grand more then i should have, yea im happy now and the cars paid off but that money could have been spent on mods ...or hookers!

Way too high, I'd say it should be more in the 14-17 range.

Default A bit high

I also agree that for the mileage stated, it is a bit too high. If the car is basically perfect I would think $18,000 would be more realistic. F-bodies being sold in the low 20's are usually 10,000 mile cars or similar.

Unless it's from a dealer, it is extremely high for private party IMO. About 3-4k too high even if it is a M6 car...

Well I think its not overly outrages I would say depending on the interior/exterior color and just how good the condition is and how much the guy wants it....its fair.....just kind of set out with a plan....when I bought mine i was looking for an 02 Sunset Orange Metallic with black interior M6 and 30kish or less miles I kind of just thought to myself if I can find one 20k or less do my best to negotiate and jump on it. Just be sure that you shop around and don’t make any rash decisions....find exactly what you want and go for it........ I just bought mine over the summer and wound up finding it for 17k …..I would say that the average low mileage excellent shape WS6 went between 18500 and 21k....and the non-WS6 went between 13-16k.......but hey to each his own.

dont pay 20k, check out kelly blue book trade in, private and retail values. for 20k you could find a C5 person going through a divorce willing to sell one if your patient. just guessing i'd probably offer 13k, not a penny over 15k. remember cash talks! good luck! show the person the trade in & private values and negotiate inbetween. dont forget carfax and have a mechanic make sure its mint for that kind of doe!
