Default 02T/A w/ Low Miles for $20G's, fair price???

Ok, so i got a friend that was looking at a 2002 Tran's Am. He said it's in good shape, seem's to have an exhaust system on it. It has around 30 to 35,000 mile's. There asking $20,000 for it.

I got my 02 Z28 with around 39,000 mile's on it for $16,000. Mine came with the exhaust as well. I dont think it's a bad price at all, seeing as the mile's are lower then what mine had. Im sure he could get them to lower the price somewhat, but do you guy's think it's a fair price???

Id say thats a ball park. I bought my first TA in 2001. It was a 98 and I give $18,000. It only had 1,200 miles on it.

I'd offer them 18k at the most, and that's only if its a flawless, garage kept, old man driven example.

yeaa that is true, but he said as far as he could see. There's nothing wrong with the car, seemed to look in very good shape. He even started it up and said, he loved the exhaust it had.

I 4got to ask him if it was a WS6 or not, but it may have been. I know he love's the way they look with the Ram Air hood.

No way I would pay that much for a F-Body. I love the F-Body to death and have owned 11 in my life but no way I would pay $20k for a almost 6 year old F-Body

$20k for a 35,000 mile car? No way. They are barely going for that with 5k on them.

I paid around 21 for my car almost 2yrs ago with 25k miles. Did I want to pay less? sure but its what I wanted and dont plan on selling it. Of course certain colors will pull a lil more too. If it were not a WS6 I wouldnt pay 20k fot it though.

Is 40K still considered low mileage for a 2001?

Same here. Mine wasn't a WS6 though. I should have got them to drop it to 18k, but hindsight is 20/20..

I say offer them 18k and see what happens.

I paid that much for my car and it had about the same mileage, but it was also a certified used car bought from a GM dealership with an extended warranty. Oh, and its also a fully optioned out WS6. If its not a WS6 I wouldn't even consider it for that price.

I just picked up an O2 ws6 with 36k for 16.5

Has a few mods, exhaust, rims tires, cam, lid rear suspension mods, lowered. Garage beauty as well. I think I got a great deal!!!

That is way too much for that many miles. I paid way less than that for a 02 WS6 with 17k on the odometer. It was completely original, clean carfax and a one owner.
