I just seems everytime i jump on autotrader or some other website I see trans ams around here (STL) with the prices extremely high! I look at places a couple hundred miles away and there tons of amazing deals! The average price where i like is about 16k for a decent trans am. Are the prices like this where you live?

Depends what you consider decent. I drove 11hrs to pick up my camaro. I know it's a risk and everything, but I wouldn't be afraid to drive a bit for the car of ur dreams...
. I've seen em on autotrader before i bought the camaro for about 10-12k...quite a few around 60k, 70k mileage wise.

Prices are crazy down here I checked out a red 98 T/A before I got my SS, all stock, interior was horrible, rips in the seats etc., rear was whining like a **** with 100k, they were asking $10K
Thats how much I picked up the SS in my sig for with all the mods already installed, with 115K, very clean car, miles are high but I wanted a 01-02 cars for 10k or less. I flew out and drove back 5 hrs

I'm sure I could drive for 4 or 5 hours and go look at a car. BUT whats been happening is people are lying, or just not telling things, or waiting until i ask about it. I went and looked at a car a few days ago about an hour and a half away... I got there and the bumper needed replaces, side skirts were all scraped up and he tells me when i get there that the gears were missing a few teeth and the whole rear end was getting replaced... AND he lost his license.. wonder how he did that. Point is, I don't trust peoples own judgment on there own cars. I can't see myself flying out or driving 5 hours to look at a car... I'm sure a deal will pop up sooner or later!

I always think the f-bodies I see in Indiana Auto & RV are way overpriced for the mileage. Usually see stock WS6's and SS's with over 75k miles go for around $15k and up. You can find much better deals in the for sale section here on tech, like stated before, if you are willing to travel.
