Default I shouldn't have done it....

... I drove a friends '01 Z06 for the first time tonight... the car is bone stock with 9,100 miles on it... MINT.... silver, black/red leather interior... AWESOME car...

It pulls much smoother/harder than my SS... and my car is mint as well with only 14,000 on the odo...

Oh well.... he spent twice as much as I did... so I win... ha.

But, that is one bad *** car.

I can't wait to install the h/c/i on my SS for some 550hp fun though...

Its addicting, no doubt and that Z06 is a bad ***. Just wait until you mod your SS, and beat your friends Z06 and still have less invested. You'll be hard pressed to keep a shitty grin off your face.

The only advantage the 01 Z has from your car is 30-40 more crank HP and is a little lighter stock for stock. So I would say that your not too far out from woopin on it. You just had the Vette Woody.

It is definately a driver's car...

Trust me guys, I know that a few bolt ons on my SS will put me way ahead in a straight line... but that Z06 handles incredibly well...

And stock for stock, I now see why Chevy can justify the additional cash for the Z....

Cant argue with you there!!! You should drive a new Z. Its not even funny. The feel is amazing. A huge difference from a regular C6.

I like your SS better. I'm more of a Camaro/F-body guy.

Don't worry about it, there's always going to be something faster. Wait until he gets dusted by the upcoming supercharged Vette. LOL

Hell, I loved my LT1 Z28 until I drove a LS1. I started looking for a LS1 the next day but came to my (financial) senses. My day will come!

the first time i had the opportunity to test drive an 04 z06 I didn't even want to get back into my camaro. You can really feel the difference in weight and with the ls6 it pulled much nicer throughout the entire powerband.

Time to mod the SS!
