Default What Percentage of LS1 F-bodies Run 12s Bone Stock?

I was arguing with some one of my friends the other day. I said that stock LS1 fbodies run mid to low 13s stock. He responded by saying that they were 12second cars stock. When I said that most people run mid to low 13s, he responded by saying that "most people don't know how to drive". I know some fbods can make it into the 12s stock, but I'm sure that more will be running mid to low 13s stock, right?

Thanks

I couldn't get out of 14s stock, but I'm not very good at launching.

Most people will be 14s to mid 13s. On a cold night, you'll get an expert driver to cut a 1.7 60' and run a 12.9.

EDIT- 2000 z28 M6.

Only a handful will run in the 12's, and they will require a good driver as well as ideal weather and track conditions.

Most LS1 F-bodies are mid-low 13 second cars stock.

Even if they make the power to go faster from the factory, with stock or stock type tires they aren't going to get 100% traction to do it.

Under 10%.

Under ideal conditions with an experienced driver most stock M6 LS1's should be able to hit a high 12, but mid to low 13's is more real world.

13.2 - 13.6 would be my guess as the average. An LS2 GTO is in the same ballpark stock. Different limitations on rwhp.

I had a cut out when i was completely stock all the way down to the paper filter, I ran 13.3@106. I'm an m6. That was with a 2.1 60ft on the skinny stock 16's. I know how to drive my m6 though

Would have been pretty tough for my car to make it to a 12sec pass stock,....2.73 gears will prohibit you from achieving that goal

Agreed. Mine was around a mid 13 with the 2.73 and went to a low 13 when i installed my 3.73. My understanding is a high 12 is possible on a stock ls1 f-bod but without an excellent driver and perfect conditions its not really probable!

For 100% stock A4s, in good weather you'll usually see about 13.5-13.8 with 2.73s, or 13.2 to 13.6 with 3.23s. Some factory freak A4s have done 13.0-13.1. With the M6 your stock times can be anywhere from 13.0 to 14.0, depending on driver. Some factory freak M6s have gone 12.8-12.9.

All of this assumes you're between sea level and 1000ft. Go to Denver and everything changes!

Few. Probably less than 50, not percent, 50 cars. My car had the MPH stock, 109, but no traction, 2.2 60 ft. Overall 13.3@109, stock 02 SS M6.

I feel your pain. I was one of the many mid-13 cars when I was stock.

I'm gonna say under 1%* with perfect conditions and drivers.

*Not based on any facts, may include LS1 thirdgens with stock LS1's, all percentages may have an error of +-20%

You need tires.

My '00 WS6 went 12.6 @107 with a SY3500 stall, Whisper Lid, Flowmaster muffler, and BFG DRs. 1.69 60-foot.

A factory freak with a great driver can cut high 12's but its not very often you see that combo.

It rarely happens. Best I got in an LS1 fbod was 13.3. I never got to the track with my car when it was stock but with my slp options (exhaust, blackwing, BFG KDs) it seems like it would be very possible on the right day.
