LS1 F-bodies are getting cheap to insure.
Just got the 6 month insurance bill for my '98. It's down to $360, full coverage (from $400 last time).
This was the first time it's dropped in a couple years. Must be because the car is 10 model years old now.
BTW, that price is with State Farm. And I'm married, over 25, perfect driving record since 1998, and I've got a multi-car + multi-line discount.
Only thing boosting my rates at this point is living within 1 mile of Chicago. Once I move 40 miles away from the city, I bet the rates will drop another $10/month.
Funny part is, I'm now paying more to insure my '04 Cavalier! The bill for that one also came yesterday, it was $409.

you old people suck
i pay $207 a month for my '02 z28 and '05 r6 - both of which have full coverage. im 23, unmarried, with 2 tickets (on record) with State Farm - AND the vehicles are on the family plan with my parents so i get their old fart discounts. to my understanding, State Farm allows up to 2 tickets within 5 or 7 years without raising your rates.

You've got me beat by $6.00 per month! Once I move away from Chicago, I'm sure mine will drop to $50/month or less.
Holy ****! That's like a damn car payment. How old are you?

Mine just went down too(just got married). $290 ish for 6 months full coverage.
State Farm here too, but I'm low milage option, that lists max milage at 7,000 miles per year.
The insurance on the wifes Accord is aroung $390. She totaled her last car and the, there was a good amount of injuries and 2 totaled vehicles. The the accident was deemed her fault because of technicality, which is a whole other storry. But she is pissed everytime she sees my insurance bill cause both my car and truck are less than hers. BTW 05 F150 4x4 is $345/ 6months.

I wish I could get rates that low. I just priced insurance on the 94 Z28 I'm hoping to buy. It's going to be $115 a month for Liability only. Full coverage was going to be around $400 a month. Course, I'm 19, unmarried, and have a terrible driving record. (3 speeding tickets, fleeing and eluding, 2 stop sign violations) That equals to 2 license suspensions. It might be 3 though since I was serving 2 suspensions at once this last time, I guess. Don't know how that really worked, but o well.
