I found this 02 WS6 at a local dealership, I've been looking for a black one for quite awhile but it is a coveted color around here. I had a 99 NBM ws6 that I sold in august of this year...
I am wondering about everyones opinion about this car. They are asking 13,000 for it and it has 95,000 miles. I think that is pretty high but I am trading in a old car of mine so I will only be paying 5,000 for it in the end.
Do you guys think this is a deal or dud?
It has some kind of catback exhaust that is veryy nice looking and loud installed on it. But nothing else seems to be modified on this car.
I don't like the rims, I would sell them.. how much could I get for those?

Also these goodyear tires, I am weary about them because I had a wreck in my ws6 on them because they had no traction in rain. What tires should I look at if I do buy this car *something that won't break the bank*

Tires depend on the driving circumstances, and everyone has opinions on them. The wheels on that are the C5 Z06 wheels, and I'm not sure what you could get for them. Depends on what condition they are in, and what condition the tires are in. The engine looks very clean though, even after 95K miles. I'd try to low-ball them a bit though, since you don't know how hard those 95K miles were put on that car. Other than that, it looks great. I'd try to work the price down myself, but I'd also make sure I left with the car!

I know an older man had it and he was the only owner so I hope that he didn't dog it.
Although it is kind of weird that an older man would lower a car like this lol!
I might end up buying it either tomorrow or monday.
The rims look brand new and the tires are new as well.

The price is OK but just a little high. The car looks to be in great condition and the engine seem to be unmodified. I agree that those wheels don't look good on the car. I run Toyo Proxes 4 tires, and they grip great and wear long. And I get 80 inches of rain a year here. Goodyears suck in the rain and wear out fast. I would buy the car if I didn't already have mine.

if thats what you want get it its a little high but its a good looking car and if your like me and cant pay cash up front for everthing and have to finance then sometimes you got to take the hit. but at the same time if you take the time to sell your car and not trade it in you will be a lot better off

Those aren't Vette wheels. I don't beleive the Vette wheels have those rivets/bolts around the inside (do they). If you don't like the wheels and it has new tires, Just buy wheels you like that allow you to still use the wheels.
I don't buy that an older man owned the car. I've seen old people own cars like that but haven't seen one that they lowered and installed a cat-back on.

Those are Z06 motorsport wheels I think thats what they call them, there not "GM" wheels but there reproductions of the Z06 and you could buy them with wheels, I think they look good usually those go between 4-6 hundred. As far as the car bein owned by an older guy I can see it and "old" to everyones different to me 40's old and Ive seen several people in there 40's still moddin the hell outa there cars.
I would take and and to me its a good deal. If you walked in there cash you could probally get them down but goin in with a trade thats over half the value of the new car your gettin I doubt there goin to move on the price at all.

The rims look odd on this car for some reason, I think I would rather have the stock ws6 rims. I do agree these tires seem to go bald very quickly and aren't good for rain.
The dealer showed me the title and told me about the man that owned it, he was in his late 40's... I guess that isn't TOO old lol. This dealership sells a lot of trans ams and camaros, in fact he has 3 z28s up there right now, and three other trans am ws6s.. two white and one red, then a regular black trans am. The red one has 55k miles on it and is in excellent shape, it looks brand new all over but I am not a fan of red unless it's a metallic/candy paint. When and If I get this car I will take underbody shots to see if anyone can identify what type of exhaust set up this car has.

"in his late 40's"
haahhahahahahahaha
um
If you really checked around here you'd see quite a few of us "late 40's" bang the **** out of our fbody cars. We have far more places to go and less time to get there, automatics are great for the track and they get a good sale after demodding

Well I bought it anyway.. This boy is loud, it's a lot louder than my 99 ws6 with a cutout. It has some catback system but I'm not sure if this is just something someone threw together or if its a brand. I looked at the air filter and it's K&N which is odd that he left in in there. I found out that they have only used mobil 1 in it as well. I'm really glad to get rid of my celica and get back into a ta..although I must admit the interior in the celica is a lot better looking. Please don't stab me.
Anyway Sorry the car is dirty in these pictures it's like 35 degrees and I don't have time to clean it today.
