Default Went and looked at "Autotrader" 98 Formula

I pulled a trailer 275 miles today to buy a 98 Silver Formula. I was disappointed. If any one is looking at this car ask me some questions. Needless to say I came home with what I took. I got him down to $4700 on the phone but he didn't tell the hole story.

C'mon, you have to tell us the story on it. You can't leave us on a cliffhanger like that.

If you look at all the listings from that dealer he has a 95 TA for 5k and that formula for 5k. That alone tells me there is SOMETHING wrong with the car.

Well he didn't take any pictures of the drivers side. Dent on the front fender after he told me there wasn't any. Scratches on every panel of the car. The wing looked like someone had hauled a bicycle on it. Some dumbass took some kind of black adhesive that hardened like J.B. Weld and tried to glue the weather stripping on the outside of the drivers side door. This **** would have to be ground off and the whole door would have to be painted. He told me the dash wasn't cracked and it was. He took a good picture of the drivers side seat but didnt show the damage after he said it had modreate wear. Had about a 6" rip. Previous owner was a smoker and the car reiked of smoke and when he threw out his cigs they would land in the back seat and burn wholes in everthing. Wasn't sure about the oil pressure gauge because it went everywhere. And the rear end was on death row. The tires and wheels were nice like he said. Im sure i forgot something. Oh yeah I set in Atlanta traffic for 2 hours on the way home.

Just for the hell of it I'd sue him for your time and gas money under the guise that he obviously lied about the condition of the car to get you to come take a look at it.

I bought my canoe on craigslist, got a great deal. It's not an auction so you can get stuff without out-bidding the next guy like ebay.

If I was going to build a project ls1 car, I'd put it in a non-ls1 for insurance purposes. Even if you could buy a v6 camaro or s10 or something, swap in the ls1, sell the v6 parts, and insure it as a v6 That's my only regret about my car, is the insurance cost per year. It's really a good thing I'm real successful in traffic court too lol.

you could do that, but Id report it to my insurance so if it gets totaled/stolen you can insure it for additional money and not loose out your ***. Kinda like the kid on here a while ago who drove his car without insurance and his g/f pulled the E brake and screwed the car up. the little bit you will save wont be worth what you could pontentially loose. But yea Ive looked at some crappy cars and was completely lied to sucks, but keep your eyes open you will find on eventually
