why not? trex can make over 400 hp, and TNT's power ring produces great results. a 150 shot on top of say 430hp would technically be 580hp, but like i said about the TNT...it would actually be over 600hp...

during the project, i was looking for aroung 575 RWHP. Reading the out come on the Power Ring and the power range of the T-Rex cam I though that this would be the best set up to try. I also saw on a sponsor fourm that they also had a power package that they tried out. It was a 585/589. 112 with a set of heads I think 62 or 64 MM and a 200 shot that made about 680 RWHP. I could not believe it when the last run on the DYNO at Trussville Alabama pulled out 602 RWHP. They even asked if it had heads and engine work. I just want to share this with all. So for about $3500, starting from stock LS1 engine you should be in this ball park.

I can believe it. My H/C/TNT 100shot set-up made 576rwhp/590rwtq. As for it being a ticking time-bomb, I disagree. It is all in the tuning, especially with thye factory short-block. My set-up delivered for three years before pushing a head-gasket. When the engine was torn down, it looked perfect. Yes, I have since gone all forged stroker, but the LS1 bottom-end isn't as fragile as most people think...
