Default Am I getting ripped off?

I am about to buy this Camaro:

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...eadExists=true

The guy says that is a genuine SLP car. That the vin. matches. I thought that all SS's where made by SLP.

I am getting it for 18K.

What do ya'll think.

All SS's were converted by SLP Engineering. That car looks SUPER clean but I personally wouldn't pay 18,000 for it but if you like it go for it. Check the classifieds on this site. There are some really nice cars put up on here everyday! Good Luck!

Seems real pricey to me, especially for a 2000.

I picked up my stock '00 SS which is pretty much a clone of that but without the rims/exhaust with 45K on it for 14 grand two years ago.

I'd keep looking, there are better deals out there.

Looks like a clean SS man...I wouldn't pay that high for it though.Especially if you are in Tx,you can find clean F-Bodies all over the place (Looks like we're the F-Body capitol of the country for some reason.).

My friend bought a 2002 Z28 w/under 4K miles for that same amount.

and just a BTW,the ad says no mods but,it does have an aftermarket lid, aftermarket shift handle and doesn't seem to have stock ride height. So,even though these are in no way "deal breakers",someone has "played around" with the car.

Try to talk them down more or walk on...

Look on the RPO codes on the driver side door. If it is a true SS it will have the WU8 code, and if it has any SLP installed opitions it will have the Y2Y code as well. If it has the Y2Y code look on the passenger side door and it will tell you what options it has, and from judging from the pics it at least has the SLP SS grill. 18K is to high IMO, I'd pay mabey, mabey 16 tops.

It is a really clean, good looking car.
But $18,000 is way too much.

defiantly a nice looking car, but not worth 18k. they are a dealership, so could be willing to sell much lower than 18k, just keep talking with the guy
