Default Why Are Bullets $40 A Piece!!!???

Anyone know where i can find bullets for less then $40 a piece it seems like a rip off to me when i can get glass packs for under $20 a piece. I am considering running reversed glasspacks for duals any comments or suggestions if they would work well instead of bullets.

ya i know but $80 seems like a lot for two expanded and contracted pieces of pipe. i can get a chambered muffler for less a bullet. I guess it is the same deal as with the gas prices as long as we pay $3.50 a gallon it will will be that price. i was just wanting to know if i could get a pair for less then $80.

Dynomax bullets ARE glasspacks. This was copied from the description, straight off of Dynomax's website: "CRF (Continuous Roving Fiberglass) technology for maximum sound control"

180LS1, go with the glasspacks and save some cash.

Can you make your own? If the answer is no, then you're pretty much stuck with paying whatever the price is for them.

Or you could just take your own advice and buy the cheaper chambered mufflers.

That is the description Dynomax gives to all their "straight-through" style mufflers, including their UltraFlow line. This does not make them the same as a $20 glasspack muffler. http://www.dynomax.com/products/ultrafloss.html

I would recommend not buying cheap glasspacks as they WILL blow out. You really do get what you pay for and $40 per muffler is cheap. Spend a little more and you will be happier in the long-run. There are plenty of quality mufflers out there to choose from.

Yup, steel is crazy high right now cuz of the war. Wait till they figure out how to make a muffler outa plastic then you'll be happy...no wait plastic is made from oil and gas prices are up too.

Just do what I did and run a Y into only one muffler, cheaper by 50% and lighter too. Dont say you need 2 cuz I have run my lil 346 thru a single 3in bullet to 10.30s @ 133. It does not have to be loud to be quick.

Good luck to ya, Tom

Probably because they use the same technology for all of their mufflers. Makes sense, thats probably the way they get their trademark sound. Like any other company. That description I quoted was straight from the bullet desc.
