My 98 TA and my best friends 05 GTO were dead even. I had a lid he had eibach springs which helped that GTO considerably. Both M6 cars. I went 1 mph faster in the quarter but our ETs were within 0.05. He didn't have as hard of a time getting the car going as I did that night.

With his mods he should be able to take a bone stock GTO M6. Especially from a dig as those things don't like to 60ft hard. An a4 f-body should get out on a stock m6 GTO 10 out of 10 times. And with some mods and a tune the a4 f-body should run at least dead even on MPH or higher.
Of course this is bench racing which don't mean ISH. I don't know why this gets argued so much when the answer is never clear cut. Kinda lame if you ask me....
Kid get out there and race him. Then you'll know the answer.

I'm not so sure you'll walk off from him. I ran my friend's '06 with my mods from a 30 mph roll. I jumped out on him by about 3 lengths and kept pulling to about 6 lenghts at 115, I think it'll be close. Anyway, stop asking "what do you think will happen" and just tell what "does" happen. Gud luck. Let us all know!

You got some decent mods there but I noticed two things that were not in your signature.
1). No stall.
2). No drag radials.
If you are still on street tires with the stock torque converter then this race could come down to who launches better. If you spin too much then he may take you off the line and vis versa.
If you leave together then I give you the edge just because you have a professional shifter (4L60E computer
) and he doesn't.
Good luck.

no doubt in my mind you will pull him. if its a drivers race, all you have to do is hit the gas...he has the chance if missing a gear. so the odds of him winning is very small. you got him for sure. let us know how bad you beat him. good luck bro.
