If you're not going to take opinions then don't ask. You obviously can't make decisions for yourself so go to your local street race and write down what mods everyone has. That's the true way to be original.

Sounds like you have some issues making an executive decision.

We have guys with cams so big that their cars will barely idle...but it works

I'm having issues making an executive decision... yes.

Patriot heads, or AFR/TFS for better mid lift flow. Which cam? LS6 or Fast 90/90... ARH or Kooks... ?

Decisions... decisions...

Too bad some of you guys can't have fun with this and help a brother out...

You need supporting bolt-ons for any combo... might as well do them first.

Headers, ORY/TD/Catback, gears, clutch, FAST..

With what...

Which cam? Which heads? Which intake manifold? Which lid?

Every one of these questions has been discussed in extreme detail.
Take some initiative and do the research instead of expecting people
to figure out what you want to do with your car.

Ask specific questions and we'll answer them. Complain about people not
spoon feeding you answers and you're never going to get anywhere.

Correct... I plan to do them all...

I was asking what supporting bolt ons have you seen work well with that particular head/cam combination?

Unit, you are correct, but people can easily be lost on this forum, and both you and I know it. When it came to deciding on which cam I was going with, I had no clue what to do. Looked in the internal engine thread, and became more lost then when I had started. I finally got ahold of a few select people (predator Z, patrick G, Jake from EPP and a few others) and discussed my goals with them, and what I wanted the car to do, what future mods I wanted, and came up with a semi permanent decision. Its not permanent yet, because im not ordering the cam untill Thursday . Anyhow, just pick a combo, or talk to a select few people who you trust, and see what the have to say. Dont be affraid to ask them what each other thinks of said combo either, and most of all, look a the popular cams out there, that might help with your decision, IE.....MS3, MS4, TQ3, TQ2, G5X3, G5X4, TR224, TR230, TRex. Check them cams out, look at the duration, lift and lobe seperation and see if they come close to what you have been recommended. These cams all work, and have been proven time and time again, just depends on how radical you want to go. My .02. Rodney Pierce

For heads get patriots if your on a budget if not get AFR or TFS you want go wrong with either of them. Same with intake LS6=budget Fast 90/90 if moneys no object. Either ARH or Kooks will be great headers if your not on a budget if so get the XS or Pacesetters. I'd get a custom cam. Just tell either PredatorZ or PatricG what you are looking to do with your car and they will help you with your cam choice. Hope this helps some I know it can all be over whelming.

I'm kinda in the same boat ATLSS. There are so many options/setups that work on these cars, it can be tricky picking which to run with. I see this as a good thing though - variety. Not everyone is running the same thing. It is also cool to see people running something different and putting down big numbers. The way these engines respond to mods is just awesome. Fortunately (I guess), I'm broke, so I can't afford to start modding yet. So for now, I just research. Passes the time till I have cash. Good luck on your setup.

And to add to it, I have 1 shop telling me that a fast 90 is required and another shop telling me that a fast 90 is a waste of money on a n/a 346...

you could just put on a supercharger and what it needs and be done with it...but the method i like to use is bringing up a website that has what i want and close my eyes and point to something on the screen...and if that doesnt suit your fancy...you could get in good with a shop and they will call you when they have a gotta have deal...thats how i ended up with the nitrous kit, the cam, adj panhard bar, ss hood, deleted cats, tune, and some other things...if and when i feel like its getting old or not what i want...thats the fun of playing with cars...time for something new

haha man I'm from the same group as you.

I've been around BBC's my entire life (a few SBC's) and the only big change we've ever made is swapping from gas to alcohol.

I'm lazier than you, I'm just going to try to buy one that's already together and done

haha i think this thread is a joke. youre obviously not ignorant to ls1s and yes youve come from a different generation of motors/performance but im sure there were a lot of different combinations to choose from, just like ls1s.

pretty much you got everyone all pumped up with your posting title and keep spinnin people around in circles about what you want to do. lol. make up your mind and use the search button or become a member on a different forum

**** if ls1s are too complicated, go buy a ford.
