Default I'm sick of LS1TECH [Title is a joke]

I have spent countless hours reading this damn forum in hopes of finding the best head/cam/bolt ons/etc for my bone stock SS... and I'm sick of reading about heads, cams, headers, etc...

Damn you all for having TOO much information and most of all TOO many opinions.

I just wish someone could put science into every selection so I wouldn't have to read so damn much...

Okay, I'm stepping off the soap box now.

Thank you and drive through.

BTW, I come from the school of flat top 350s with double hump heads, glide, 9 inch, and a little gas going 9s in a 1st gen Camaro... Just easy to understand and build... unlike the LS1... fast 90 or LS6, trick flow heads or AFRs with better mid lift flow, a million different cams to choose from, which injectors, which tune, blah blah blah...

Why does it have to be the "best?" Why can't you just decide how much horsepower you want and go from there. If you wanted you could also call up a sponsor and see what they say.

My post was more a joke than anything man...

I'm not looking for the "best" and yes I have discussed my hp goals with 3 local shops and all have different ways of getting there... which only adds to the confusion....

when it comes down to it the only thing that really matters is how much money you are willing to put into it. There are LOTS of good combos out there and all depend on how much you want to put out.

I hear ya... same ole song from when I was in this hobby last - "performance cost, how fast do you want to go?"

I'm willing to drop the cash, I just need help picking the right combination. Sometimes finding the right combination by reading this forum is a far cry...

How can you expect someone to pick the right combo for you?
There is no "right" combination. There are literally hundreds that
will work...and work extremely well. It's up to you to choose
the one you want.

I 100% agree.

And to add to Unit's post, what might be the "perfect/right" combo for one person isn't always going to be the best for everyone. We all have different goals, and pure horsepower at any cost isn't always a top priority for everyone, so keep that in mind when researching people's opinions.

If you've talked to 3 shops, find the one ou like best, or the combo you like best, and do it. You're expecting too much from a forum.

No need to call anyone names.

You just have to dive in when it comes to performance mods. You already did the research, now you just have to go with something.
If I could do a heads/cam combo again I would go something along the line of: AFR heads fully worked over and a cam along the size of .230 In .230 Ex on a 10x lsa. (but that's me, i've had a similar combo in the past that worked great.)
Good luck.

How much power are you looking to make? If you're looking to make
420-450rwhp with a quality, yet relatively inexpensive H/C combo...give
Livernois a call. They'll hook you up.

Horse ****.

There should be enough people on this board who can give me some advice on which combination works for them, so that I can make a decision.

Ok...well there are hundreds of combos that all work for people.

Sounds like you have some issues making an executive decision.

We have guys with cams so big that their cars will barely idle...but it works
for them. Is that what you want?
