Default Door stickers missing......

Hello all. I just purchashed a 2000 Camaro SS from an insurance auction that was a theft recovery car that has the drivers side door missing. Which means the GM stickers I need with build date and RPO codes for proof of an SS car is missing. Is there any way possible to get a copy of those stickers or am I out of luck? If so, how do I go about it? Thanks!

I think you can call SLP and give them your VIN number and they will tell you everthing that came stock on the car, some people go to far with weight reduction, lol.

There is no way to replace those stickers. I've looked into that before myself.

However, any GM dealer can call up your car's info in their VIS system and get you a print out of all your RPOs, build date, in service date, etc. It just won't be on a sticker, but rather an 8.5x11" sheet of paper.

The only thing you need to prove it's an SS car is the info from GM showing your VIN number with an RPO of WU8.

You could always have someone custom-make a door decal once you've got the info verified. It wouldn't be too hard to duplicate the look of the factory font, etc...

I have made duplicate oem stickers before and they have turned out really good. In my opinion, the car/vehicle feels incomplete or cheap without the door stickers on there. Plus, it is always an issue if you sell the vehicle and people are asking questions about it.

SLP will only help if you have y2y options. I have a printout of my cars rpo codes from the dealer, it gives both the rpo and the what it means. Its free so just go get it, and call slp for the build number.

You can get the rpo codes, etc, from the dealer and slp but no one reproduces the oem door stickers from GM, unless you do it for yourself on your computer.

Hope you got a good deal on the car! In addition having a reproduction door decal made I would switch out the door and hatch locks. A buddy of mine bought a '00 Firehawk a few years ago from an INS/Repo auction and a week later someone with an original set of keys stole it from his buildings parking lot. The kicker is that his girlfriend at the time watched the whole thing go down from the window and thought it was him moving it the whole time! Long story short the car was never found and he has a new girl.

I have a 2002 Firebird as well and the original (3) labels still remain on the driver side door. However it appears that the previous owner was over zealous with a cleaning solution which caused the protective film for each label to separate from the door. The bottom label on my TA is beginning to show signs of separation as well. Regarding the Firebird, the information on each label is barely legible. However and most importantly the VIN on the service information label matches the VIN for the car.

Good luck with your labels.

Where do you go to find the number for SLP?
