Default cts-v vs. G8

Alright I have a question for my tech family. I am selling my T/A and getting into a four door lsx car. I can not decide between the cts-v or a G8. I am looking for your opinion. Give me pros and cons in your opinion. Thanks

CTS-V is an older luxury performance car with all the goodies. I'd go with that, but thats just me.

WhoNXT, just wanted to tell you that your T/A is badass. I was looking at it the other day in the for sale section. My old man, just bought a Z28, he watched the exhaust clip and now wants his to sound like that. If I had the space I would gladly take it off your hands! (I would go with CTS-V, they look mean with the right wheels and a throaty exhaust)

CTS-V all the way. Re Sale value would be better IMO aswell.

CTS-V looks much better in my point of view too.

Ill be getting another car in the near future, and cant decide between the 03 Cobra or a CTS V. Im leaning towards the Cobra just because there is much more aftermarket concerning mods and appearance stuff for the mustang folks.

Get the CTS-V.

Go with the G8. It's the latest and greatest from the General.

what is a G8? i thought that CTS was the only thing that matters in the 4 door badass car class.

This is the G8 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6iI-...eature=related

Some good stuff at www.pontiac.com too.

It's a "performance sedan" that is LSx powered, RWD, IRS, 5 seat capacity, and good looks (well, for a sedan anyway).

It's based on a Holden, just like the GTO-II, so the build quality wil be awesome, and if it drives anything like the GTO-II did, it should be a lot of fun and great for getting the *** out.

It's also under $30G for the GT, I'm sure the CTS-V is going to be a lot more expensive.

BTW - the STi and Evo are pretty 'badass' sedans too, at least in terms of raw performance (not that I'd ever buy one lol).

that kind of queer commercial notwithstanding, so far I think it looks much better than the gto, whatever else, I have no idea.

I personally would opt for the G8, because you will probably end up with equal performance with less money spent

My dad has an 03 V6(didn't have the Vs then) and it is VERY nice. It has all options minus GPS and sound system, but the ride is great. I would say go with the CTS-V.

I am really torn on this desicion. I have been in love with the V's for a while now. I have found a decent number of the for 25-30K with 40-55K miles on them. The G8 will also cost me 30K, but it will have zero miles on it. That is one of the biggest reasons I cant decide. One of the pros of the V in my opinion is it will come with DVD, NAVI, and the Bose stereo. I have no idea what the speakers in the G8 will sound like, and sound is big for me. Music is a huge part of my like second only to Lsx performance. As for the looks its kinda a toss up. I think they both look bad ***. Another question is about the rear ends. We have all heard about the V rear end, which in my opinion I think has been blown a little out of proportion. Will the G8 rear be much stronger? Keep the comments coming all of your opinions are helping.

LS6 V's are 25-30k. All the goodies and tuned at the ring. Car handles great. 42k on mine with certified pre owned warranty to 100k Not a creek or noise to be had. Very tight car. My suggestion would be to drive both and then decide. If you want handling get the v. If you want to be at the dragstrip get the G8. The rear Dif in the V will need work for the strip.

If I had the choice between the two, it would be the badalac. CTSVs are just plain nasty.

Well, really...it comes down to what you like the most.

But the Caddy will give you better resale, and I think looks better.....

G8 will be cheaper! But the Caddy has the "name".
