just turned 17 last month, im also surprised, thought there would be more older people i didnt know there were this many young people as crazy as me to get this kind of car in highschool, i pay for EVERYTHING, worked summers and saved up since i was like 8, lots of hard work for a toy

im 24. i have an 06 silverado and a 99 z28. im also a full time student. here's my trick. i explain to parents that im a full time student and cant afford to work full time so they dont kick me out. next i got 2 jobs and worked them between each other and school. i saved lots of money by living at home so i just stashed enough cash to buy an ls1 cash and put a good down payment on a new truck for a daily driver. now i can move out soon. damn i'm good!!

i'm 17 and sold my '97 chevy z71 last august to pay the first out of three payments on my '02 SS. my dad co-signed on an annual loan for three years so i pay one huge payment every year. so i'll pay the next two payments with a very good paying side job i do every summer. and dang, i'm surprised at how young most of us are!

Good to see I'm not the only "older guy" still into hot rodding. I don't plan on ever giving it up. I was still into sport bikes until a little over a year ago when I almost died on one. Now I'm content to play with my car, when I have time for it.

Im about to turn 22 and i had my first f-body when i was 16...as much as I loved my z, it wasnt worth paying 370 a month for insurance. I bought a truck and have been saving money ever since. now that my insurance is down to less than 100 bucks a month for full coverage im back in the market for an f-bod

Don't feel too bad. I will be 28 next month. I've been driving LS1 f-bodies since September '01 when I took delivery of my new '02 WS6. Had lot's of good times in the f-bodies over the years
