T-Tops are part of what sold me on the T/A over a cobra I was looking at. I've owned a mustang vert before and T-tops are so much cooler. My T/A has over 100k on it and no leaks whatsoever. Don't even think about getting an Fbody w/o them!

Unfortunately for me, its too god damn hot during the summer days to take off my t-tops, but when the sun goes down, my t-tops come right off as well.
It's really nice to have the best of both worlds. Still rigid like a hard top, and airflow almost like a convertible. Perfect compromise I say, Perfect!

+1 on 98-02 ss came with ttops or else were convertable which were heavier yet
Love the ttops on my 02 ws6 and like them on the 86 monte carlo ss. My 86 ss are shot though leak ...a lot if it were to get rained on and leak a bit if i wash it haha. Its old and waiting for a resto

I've had 4 of these cars with t-tops. I'm ready for a hardtop next.

can't say much about the racing tech end of it, though I think they are a tad heavier.
Easiest thing to do is get new seals for your t-tops. Then keep treating them to make sure they don't leak. I have a 95, and I treat mine. They are the original seals and all, and they don't leak. Make sure you lock them before you go driving. Not trying to insult your intelligence, but I know a chick that kept forgetting to lock them, and she ended up trashing about 5 or 6 different tops. Dumb broad.

and oh yeah, you can either buy the treatment stuff at Kragen or something, or you can go cheap and use WD-40. Only problem with WD-40 is the odor. You can also use WD-40 to get grease out of your carpet in your car.
