I've had two cars with t-tops 96 and 99 and neither ever gave me any probs. However, I rarely use them. It's like "Hey look at how cool I am!" and people just hate you.

No t-tops here. I have no problems. The only thing I'd need them for is to look up and spit if I don't want to lean closer to my window.

i live in california perfect weather year round but i never seen my friends drive with them off....
I beg to differ. I live in Pennsylvania, and I take them off pretty much any chance I get. During nice weather I drive home from work with them off almost every day. Pretty much every single one of my local Fbody friends always take them off too. I don't know of anyone in our group who doesn't love to cruise with them off.

With the warmer weather the past couple days I wished it wasn't raining, I wanted to take the tops off again
I got to in december though one day that it was 60 out - that was weird lol.

Mine are off if it is above 65, chicks love it, i only have ever driven convertibles/targa's/t-tops.

Just fun though, went through the car wash once and it got me SOAKED, so much water sprayed in.

The only reason to not get tops is if you wanted a rarer car. Other than that, T-Tops is the ONLY way to go. You wont be disappointed at all.

you wont be taking them off if your just going around the corner unless you just bought the damn thing, I only took mine off when I was going for a descent drive, atleast 30-45 minutes or just for a cruise.

Don't have time to read 71 posts, so I just wanted to say to the first poster who mirrors my feelings.

I really prefer a hardtop due to the slightly lighter weight and better chassis integrity. But then again, I'm usually focused on performance and not trying to pimp around.

If you have T-tops and want to drag race the car, you should get subframes before doing so. It is somewhat rare, but I have seen a T-top go flying when a car without subframes launches at the track.

I enjoy having T-tops on ONE of my cars and that is because it is a cruiser/show car and it has never been to the track and probably never will be. Even then I feel T-tops are a hassle pulling them off, storing them, putting them back on. I much prefer my wife's vert if I want some extra air. Pop two latches and push a button... all without leaving the driver's seat. Other than my red SS, I'd want to have ALL hardtops.

I don't think you guys with t-tops know how to use them. The trick is to park the car in a garage and never have the t-tops in. No hassle, no wasted time, all fun! Mine is sitting in the garage right now - t-tops off, windows down - waiting for the first nice spring day

T-tops are great for throwing out those homemade Molotov cocktails. Ha I mean sunny weather! I love mine and wouldn't have bought the car without it. If it was my DD then maybe I could stand not to have them but ehh idk.

It's all about personal preference. I have a hard top and I like it, but I would prefer T-tops. I had T-tops in both of my previous Camaro's and loved them.
