whats that button on the ignition on all M6 cars??

The one on my Z/28 worked, but the one on my SS doesn't. I can just pull the key right out. I don't think it effects anything.

I've heard of these going out but don't worry about it OP unless you want to replace your tumbler.. It's doesn't make a difference one way or the other

that little button is way better than the old 'third finger' arm on older camaros........lol

I though this was a silly thread but I learned something. I assumed that every car had it but I've only had manual cars since 1992. My 5-speed truck even has it.
