Default Hook or power?

Shouldn't have one with out the other, yeah I know.

So I'm thinking about doing some mods. Currently running pretty much stock, with a little spray for those too close to call ventures.

Now I'm looking for suggestions.

Full exhaust(true duals, long tubes, tune, ect)?

Or lower control arms and lca relocation brackets?

SFCs are being welded in regardless.

And eventually I'll be doing both. So pretty much I'm just wondering, which set of mods would you all do first? Most of my racing is from a dig, because thats what I enjoy most. But I'll run just about anything from just about anywhere.

*** EDIT***

I'm lowered about an inch and a half, by the by. Makes launches a touch more difficult.

I personally would do the exhaust first, mainly for the sound and extra power. Do you have good tires on there already?

Might as well do the exhaust because it won't take you that long to save up for the lca's after that. Everyone loves a great sounding exhaust but that is probably the only thing I would do until you get the chassis setup. It can get very disappointing when you can't hook your power so keep that in mind as you build up.

I tire would benefit you more than the LCA's and Reloc. Brackets.

You can have all the power in the world but if you can't get it to the ground, it's useless

If you race at all, hook is important. I'm all for power because I'm primarily looking to have fun in my car.

Hook is more important we all know that. That's why when I save up enough I'll be focusing on my driveline and suspension before diving into power mods. I'll probably do a SLP flopac, LS6 intake and full exhaust with cut out but the rest of my budget will be my suspension and trans strengthening and switching to a 12 bolt.

With this done I'll be bale to better predict where my car is going and be able to run it more ***** out....I know it sucks not being fast, but doing power first can lead to trouble. What good will your car be if you beef the power up but spin out and damage it [ GOD forbid, sorry ]. I like to be safe rather than sorry and regret not doing the suspension first. Good Luck!

If it was an A4 I'd say Stall and hook it but... you have an M6. Hooking and M6 = scattered 10 bolt.

That scares me... I just bought an m6 with 4:10 gears in the 10 bolt... guess i might reconsider going to the track...

I say hook, what's power if you can't use it, and people tend to roll their eyes at the 'I couldn't hook up' speech.

If you hook, the rear end will probably blow. Gears tend to do that, but there are quite a few M6 guys running stock gears and in the 11's with no issues.

Thats kind of like asking "When do I want my rear end to explode.....now, or later?" Just kidding.....kind of. I'd personally go with the full exhaust.

On street tires or possibly even Nitto DR's you should be fine but If you do go the track with real sticky tires like MT DR's or full slicks... Well then 10 bolt life or death will be up to how hard you shock the driveline on the launch.

Like everything car related, my diff will blow.

So yes, in essence I am asking "now or later."

Because when it does a 9" Moser will be in my immediate future. >
