Default my M6 has an idle roll?

well i put on my ported throttle body this weekend (ported by Chris Frank at at RayMac) and the car runs great i can feel a diffrence compared to my stocker. So i was slowing down and for some reason i just let the clutch out completley and took my foot off the gas to see if it would stall at same RPM's and when i did that it dropped to 1k and just idle rolled at 30 mph and 1k. not complaining i love it. just wonderinf whether anyone elses did this.

manual cars are supposed to do that. when the clutch is in or it's in neutral the motor has nothing to make it keep turning those rpm's so it falls to an idle. perfectly normal.

it's entirely possible to get the car moving without giving it any gas. If I let out slow enough it'll fully grab around 600 rpm and then you can just let it crawl it's way up back to idle. Good for moving around parking lots as you may find yourself having to slam the brake for the occasional runaway shopping cart or random pop out of nowhere kid.

With the clutch disengaged from the flywheel and your foot off the gas, the only thing the engine CAN do is go back to an idle. The continuous momentum of the vehicle is carrying you forward.
