Factory 10-Bolt, A4, and then SLICKS!
(Mods move if necessary didnt really know where to put this one)
I am looking into buying some Greg Weld Wheels (15x10" & 15x5") and hook thoes babies up to some M/T tires (P275/50R15, not so sure they would fit on a wheel that is 10" wide).
I just want to know what everyone thinks about doing this with the Factory 10-bolt and A4 because they are both weak in the long run. The car only has 16,5xx miles on it. Mods are listed in my sig.
I know if i had the 10-bolt and a M6 it would only take so many passed before the 10-bolt *****.
HUGE EDIT: i ment drag radial.

Well I didnt run slicks but I have a 3000stall and I was on a drag radial all year lastyear with about 15pass's at the track and countless holeshots on the street and im still on my stocker. I personally dont think you will have a problem espicially since your a A4 but anythings possible

What are some times people have layed down with 10-bolt, 3.23 gears, A4, full-bolt-ons (w/o aftermarket intake - stock ls1 only), free mods, (15x10" & 15x5") wheels, and some Mickey Thompson ET Drag (Worlds Fastest D.O.T. Class Race Tire.)
Full weight, with 3-5gl in the gas tank of 93.
Just an idea of the 1/4mi and 60' would be awesome.

I was looking for a tire that is less that 27"d and it doesnt look like M/T makes one. Is there one you suggest thats a bit wider?

I ran the stock 10 bolt in my old Z28. With mods in sig I cut 1.5xs 60fts spraying off the line. I ran both E.T. Drags and E.T. Streets
FYI: I had 3.42s in the rear with a ring gear spacer

Looks like you have a stock stall so really the car will never leave hard hard enough to stress the rearend anyhow.
as far as you 1/4 mile times... cant be sure because each car is different but my guess since its a stock stall in the car with possibly a lot of added weight from the "helluva stereo" I'm guessing low 13's. possibly a high 12 sec time

You need a stall to use the slicks. I run 26x11.5x15 on Bogart D10 wheels thru A4 and 10 bolt. I ran all season like this, but i do have my fingers crossed each time. I have more HP this year we will see what happens.

I made the stereo compleatly removable. So with it removed you think i can do high 12s with the factory stall and the mods with slicks/drag radials? You think it could with 5 gallons in the tank and me weighing 150 pounds.
This is getting my hopes up!!!!!!!

+1 the sticky tires may actually slow the car down. With a stock stall you actually want just a little wheelspin off the line to get the car into its powerband quick. sticky tires will tend to bog a car down and chug through the low rpm range. It depends on the track and the car though so you might crack a 12 in the car. HArd to say for sure as there are just soo many variables.

You will be fine. I run 26x11.5 ET Streets on my stock A4 and 10 bolt, and used to run 325/50/15s with no problems also. Also with my stock stall my car still spun, so I dont see why everyone says your going to slow down if you dont have a stall.
