I say this because for younger drivers inexperience behind the wheel is the leading cause of accidents...Plus the chances of someday viewing a burn out video of the car you recentlly purchased are much higher
I don't see any problems with doing a burnout. That's what the car was made for. Now the fact that they are "smart" about it, and not run into a pole afterwards, that's different.

Mine's 100% clean, never wrecked. I think the worst thing that's happened to it was a cop dropped his enormous Mag-Lite on my door and put a tiny chip in the paint right next to the door lock. Needless to say I got out of that ticket.

i hope everyone realizes exactly how worthless carfax is. only 30 of 50 states report info to them. which 30? who knows. they will not say.

to further that, they only know about an accident if a cop recorded a VIN, or if an insurance company paid out.

as we all know.. many many many many times, that's not the case.

Yea mine carfaxed clean; so I didn't bother to reaaaaaaaally check the body out good. It had a fender replaced, the facisa wasn't OEM, and the driverside headlight was all out of wack. I contacted the 1st owner and he told me his wife rear-ended a pick up truck back in 2002. So I know mine has had some damage. After that I had everything but the hood and hatch repainted for a steal of a price too...by a guy that only does street rods and high end stuff ($900).

Carfax = 100% worthless. Half the time people don't even report damages, they just settle themselves too.

to my knowledge my car has only been in two accidents and both of those were with me as the owner. Both were also the car getting hit from behind. First time, just a scratch that could be buffed out. Second time, hit a little harder paint chipped/peeled, I had to have the whole back bumper repainted.

Yea carfax blows. The guy I bought my car from told me the car had a new front bumper on it as long as the fender and hood repainted. I got the car at a steal, so I couldnt pass it up. About a year later my buddy was looking for cars and he had a subscription for the one month carfax thingy. So he ran my vin and it never said anything about it being in an accident....... Although it did mention how I failed emissions

Mine was totalled bad. Frame bent 4 inches inward, both fender rails damaged, k member damaged, upper radiator support damaged.. It was a fun fix. But at the time this was the only way i could afford to get one of these cars.

The only ding I've had was when I went to see a friends brothers band play at this bar. I went way out around the back away from everyone and some jackhole still managed to back into my rear panel. You can't tell unless you look at the rear lights close and see it's pushed in a little.

I hate people.

I voted mines 100% original.. etc. etc... but I did put on a WS6 hood and did a Engine/Tranny swap... Just got tired of the V6 and wanted some LS1 ... The body is all good though and thank god I haven't wrecked it.

So get this, I'm in my car, on my break at work, just sitting there, staring at the windshield, and the dude next to me backs up and swipes me. Nearly takes off my side mirror. I jump out of the car ready to kill, and he tells me, "I have insurance", A brand new paint job, & custom hockey stripes later, I'm proud to be the owner of a "minor damaged" F-body.

good point.

having worked at a dealer.. you guys would be surprised to know the amount of paint work done to new cars before they're sold the first time... it's staggering.

basically, if it was minor damage and fixed properly who cares.

Both of mine have been wrecked at one point or another. My '94 has been hit twice - once with my dad driving it, and once with my brother driving it (neither was at fault, just magnets for the driving-impared).
My '99 was wrecked before I owned it, even though the carfax report came back clean. I realized this after doing some work on the car - I found some nice blue lettering on the inside of my passenger quarter panel. That was a suprise I didn't want to have...

Mines accident free but did have a spot fix on the rear quarter. They did a real good job doing it. I was suprised it was there when I talked to the original owner. And I normally notice every dumb imperfection in paint

When I say accident I mean an incident which required body panel repair/replacement not someone hitting your car with a shopping cart and leaving a ding

So who here has a 100% clean title/car fax with all original body panels intact??

Also if yours had an accident feel free to post up pics!
