Default I Have A Programmer Question

I Have A Hyper-tech Tuner That Was Ran On My 99 Ss But I Sold The Car And Still Have The Programmer I Now Have A 98 Ss And My Question Is Can I Use The Programmer On My New Car???? Any Help Would Be Much Appreciated

as long as u deprogramed the other car before u sold it. other wise the programmer is junk.

the 98 & 99 are not identical... you'll need to look up the model number of the programmer and see what it works on.

but yeh.. if you never deprogrammed the old car.. it's worthless.

^^they do that so you cant start your own business with a $350 programmer. which is EXACTLY WHY you should just get a good dyno tune. SO MUCH more effective

Yeah I have a hypertech programmer also I have 98 and I know its only for a 98 and will NOT work on a 99. Hopfully you did take the program out of your other car so you can atleast sell the POS and put the money torwards a real tune. Otherwise if you didnt your really screwed and either track down thw owner or toss it

Well if you didn't de-program your car you sold then you have a 350 dollar paper weight. Although I think Hypertech can unlock it somehow if you send it to them but I'm not sure on under what circumstances they do it.
