I was just wondering what will get me more HP to the wheels.
- LS6 intake manifold with Waitforme mail order tune
- Sell the LS6 intake manifold and get a real good dyno tune
My mods are SS exhaust, Yank SS3600, SLP lid and that is it. Thanks, Rob
I do not plan on moding much more that what is listed and want it to run good. Reason I ask is I am leery of the LS6 manifold because some say 5 RWHP with as little mods as I have.

Just installing the Intake will give you a few ponies. I wouldn't do a tune with you mods unless its on a dyno. A mail order tune will do you good for getting around with other mods like a cam or getting small things like EGR and the AIR system deleted. I think just doing the intake would be fine. Thats all people did for years before the tuning software got good enough to help out as much as it has. If you tune it just changing the tune for the tranny will make it feel like another animal. If it was me. I would install the intake. Then save or wait to get the dyno tune later if that is what you really want. Since you have a stall as well, I would do the tune on the dyno/street to make sure shift points are good and take care of the intake tune as well. Its not going to net you much power over all but will optimize your setup if that is all your going to do.

I would hold off on the tune if you plan on doing other mods in the near future such as H/C, or removing the air or egr systems and stated above. You will net more that 5 rwhp with that ls6 intake. Whoever told you that should not be speaking on the matter. It will more than likely be 15 rwhp net gain. If you do not plan on other mods in the near future go ahead and get your mail order tune. My mail order tune on my H/C T/A was done by a non-sponsor and was a great tune with no issues. The same guy does tunes for a current sponsor Trifecta, I would give them a call. I have not heard of the place you mentioned.
