possible trade for LS1, need info/advice

^^ This is the car I am looking at trading for. I currently have a 91 gt, HCI, stalled auto, 4.10's, pretty well built, was blown, but the blower got destroyed. The guy who owns it works in a mustang shop so he says he can get a new head unit for my car. As my car sits its probably worth 4500-6k depending on the buyer. I talked to the guy earlier and he is very interested in my car, and we will probably arrange a meeting soon. My questions are, what should i look for on this car. It was wrecked, so im sure there are tell tale signs of frame damage and whatnot. Also, what should I offer on the side? It does have a salvage title, whereas mine is clear. And lastly, would this car be a good daily driver? I currently drive an 01 f 150, but have been wanting to get into something different for awhile. Id sell my truck if I got this car

I would offer 7k, it looks good, just make sure it runs as well. I dont have a problem with rebuilt cars, as long as it was done the right way and everything works fine, they are just as good. Actually a bargain.

Well he just told me he would do my car+3k. I am tempted to do it. I have been wanting to get into an ls1 for awhile now. And my car does need quite a bit of work. How does the salvage title thing work? Is it gona be hard to get it into my name?

If your car is worth only $4,000... Thats a fair deal..
Just keep in mind, There are a ton of LS1 F-Bodies around for sale.. Thats not really any deal..
I wouldnt pay anything over $7,000 for the car. Your call though.
