id race from a roll.... with bolt ons only i beat 2 pullied cobras (one had an even smaller one than the other) from a 30 roll. the one with the smaller pulley was only a half car away but the other was 2-3 cars back. i like to rate them under "ford HP" which is always not as good as "chevy hp" haha but anyways to the point if its from a roll you stand a good chance if its not a modded cobra and from a dig you will loose unless the other guy completely sucks at driving. roots blown they have a lot more low end then you do. but they do weigh more and gotta remember they were rated at like 390hp? which means they prob dont put all that to the wheels...

hahaha of course I'm kidding, I'm just so sick of the threads about Terminators its not even funny. With all the threads about them that are searchable there should never ever be one more question.

Here we go again. This is the millionth thread on the subject. Already the " just add yada yada and the cobra is unstoppable" has come out. Just race the Cobra and if you lose, go get some mods. They are not the fastest cars ever built. There is always someone faster out there. Even faster than the Cobras if you can imagine that. This subject has been beaten to death.

The funny thing I find about cobras are 2 things. Most people that own them can't drive them (in GA anyways) and they dont launch as well as an f-body just because the suspension design.

Those two mods won't get you 500hp bud. It'll take exhuast, tune, pulley, intake & a ported Supercharger and maybe a few other little things.
The Cobra IMO is the better plateform just because its so much easyer and cheaper to make HP in addition it was built better with a forged bottom end, 32 valves, 4 cams and a Eaton Supercharger. Too bad it took Ford all that to catch up to the LS1... But I prefer LSX based engines obviously.

he might be talking about flywheel hossepower not rwhp. I still dont know if that would do it. And yes it is cheaper to make power with but they will still run on average a good 10k+ more then an f body. And i would not call 4 cams and 32 valves an advantage but that is just me.

Where are all the FORD POWERED f-bodies. Go into the Hybrid section, and you will see douzens of ls1 stangs. Heres my personal favorite
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/637163-so-here-s-game-plan-00-mustang-lsx-huge-turbo.html (and yes it was a v6, but he could have easily dropped a SC FSB in there instead)
Lets face it, all the honda/ford/toyota guys argue about whose platform is superior. Then you look around, and they all put GM motors in their cars while we all upgrade to bigger badder GM motors. Come on guys, why do people put ls1s in anything and everything, but you don't ever see F-Body cars with 4.6s (with or without a SC).

03-04 Terminators (assuming that's what is being discussed here) put down 340-370ish completly stock(usually depending on the dyno).I remember seeing 1/4 times in the low 13s to the mid-high 12s (109-113 trap speeds) depending on the air & driver competency.
98-02 MN6 F cars are anywhere from 290-310ish(my '98 made 309)..Although I've seen factory freaks(low option 1SC Z28) run high 12's/109 completly stock in decent air...most were mid 13's in the 105 range..

These "what if" race threads are pointless. Just turns into a flame war over nothing.
