400 at the wheels can be accomplished with a good cam (TR224 is an excellent choice), and full bolt ons. i.e. headers, exhaust, intake system, LS6 intake good tune...etc

edit, i see you have an automatic, so put a good stall on your to-do list.

If you are looking for numbers dont put a stall..It will take more to get higher readings as your numbers will not go as high with a stall.... but if you want to make the auto quicker then throw a stall in there. I didnt care to much for a stall in my last DD though..if I had it to do again I would have went with the 224 cam left the stock stall in and called it a day..but thats just me

Anyway since you have an 02 your already have an ls6 intake so check that off, Get a better catback than the chokemaster, headers, tune, cam and you might see 400rwhp..

Ok, and yea i do plan on removing the Flowmaster Catback and going with the SLP LMII in a centered style exhaust like the CME but also plan on putting a Cutout since idk if the centered style will choke up some power.

If you get full bolt ons and a cam in the 230's range you will hit 400 to the wheels. I put down 393 with a slipping clutch.

Full bolt ons and a good cam. Doesn't have to be a big one. I've seen big cams with low numbers and vise versa. Once you get all your bolt ons all on i'd e-mail Partrick G and order a custom cam from him. Costs 25 bucks for the custom specs. But I think its worth it to have a cam for YOUR CAR instead of just some "big cam".

Agreed on cam and full bolt ons. Don't forget to do suspension also to put the power to the ground.

as i have seen many cars hit 400 rwhp from a cam and bolt on's, i would have to disagree that his would w/ it being an auto. auto's will always have less hp than the m6. add a stall and thats even less hp, add gears and even more. in my opinion hp is just a tool to help me tune the car, other than that it doesnt really mean crap. what matters to me is what times im putting down at the track.

as the above have said, full bolt on's, better exhaust and a nice cam. I went with a 228R cam from Texas Speed and with my Z06 heads i put on, i should be looking at 400-410RWHP maybe more but i doubt it

With the mods in my sig and minus my 4000 stall I hit around 390. The higher stalls kill your dyno numbers

You have stock HP with those mods.

If you want dyno numbers, sell the A4 and get an M6. Take Pro-Stock John's LS1Tech camaro. Giant Vindicator cam, TFS 215 heads, FAST 90.. and unlocked he just broke 400rwhp. That's a high stall convertor for you. BUT here's the catch.. if you want a big enough cam to break the 400 mark, you won't, because you need a stall big enough to be able to drive it and keep it from being a complete dog out of the hole. It's going to shine at the track.

What is stock HP anyways?? I hear ppl say its 325, then other's say that's for the M6, the A4's got 315 or so. I know for the most part, the car's dont really come out with the HP rating the factory gives em half the time.

stock hp is the same for an M6 or an A4. Just that the drivetrain of an A4 soaks up more, and puts less to the rear tires. Stock can be anywhere from 290's to 320's. Depends on what dyno you're on. Also, as a side note, dynos should only be for tuning. No 2 dynos are going to read the same. Some read high, some read low.. you can make 290 on one, drive 20 miles the same day, and make 320 on another. Then people come here and say "I only made XXX and this guy with the same mods made 40hp more than me, what's wrong with my car?" when actually there's nothing wrong, it was just 2 different dynos.
