it gets tempting...but...
truth #1
liquids designed to harden to fill gaps can also fill gaps where oil was designed to flow and do more harm than good.
truth #2
The motivation for selling these products is not to enhance your car, it's to enhance the producers' and sellers' bank account.
truth #3
Though it may be possible to have an additive that does some good, there is no way to be sure if one does or not, and even in the slight chance a restorer might do some good, beware of truths 1 and 2.

But was this based on fact because you used it? ![Icon Confused](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/icon_confused.gif)
I had an 81 Celica GT with a tired motor. It was blowing a bit of smoke and consuming oil because the valve stem seals were drying out.
I used Restore every oil change for about 30k miles. Everytime I put it in, I had increased compression (compression tester), no oil burning and minimal oil consumption. I changed the oil every 5k and by the time 4k rolled around the symptoms started to slowly come back.
It does work BUT here is my thought on it:
I was treating the symptoms not the cause!
For an LS1 that is not having issues, keep away from it. If you need something to help until you get a new motor or rebuild, I'd consider it.![Nod](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_nod.gif)

if you follow the directions in that seafoam thread (wherever it is, i don't feel like searching for it) you should be fine.
