A/C ticking??

This is a pic of one. If I remember correctly you turn them 1/4 turn and pull with some dikes (side cutters/ wire cutters)
They are like pine tree fasteners but they have a smooth side that makes them easier to get out after the 1/4 turn.

yea i got the same problem, good to know it comes out easy like the one on my elcamino, plenty of junk was in that one.

I defiantly don't have that plastic pan cover.


But is this the motor?

Thats the motor. Someone must have left the cover off for some reason.

Well take the five 7mm screws out and unplug the wire, it should drop out and you can look and see whats stuck in it causing the ticking noise. Also reach in the hole it came out of and see if theres anything loose in there. I found a bunch of leaves in mine.

You can clean the blower wheel if it's real bad, spray it down with some cleaner and hose it off but what ever you do don't get water in the motor.

Dude mine has done that same noise at least 4-5 time every year for the past 3 years and it takes me a couple of seconds of just turning the A/C on anf off on fullblast and the noise stops other than that it's worked fine.
