How much can I sell my 00 Camaro SS for?
#23
I just sold my 1999 Camaro in 9.5/10 condition with 40k on it for $13,500. It was a full bolt on car that ran as good as it looked. I thought I coulda gotten more but that was in the area of its value. Good luck. Anything $13,500 and over is good for you, maybe $13,000 with a cracked hood. Look at blue book. Over blue book is the way to go.

A G to replace the belts?
Well the thing is I could take the insurance off of it and cover it up, outside but whats the point of letting a car like that sit for years? I do have another beater car to drive but it is so beat up that it is a pain to take out of town. It shakes on the interstate.
Its a 2001 Eclipse, what a hunk of junk. So many problems. Just paid 1000 at 60k miles to have all the belts replaced.

If gas mileage is the issue there's no reason to get rid of the car. Just buy a cheap beater. The thing you guys are forgetting is your looking at all these turbo cars or high revving Honda cars which don't really get that good of gas mileage relatively speaking. You're not going to pull better than low 20s for most of those cars all-city driving. Might as well buy a 90s Civic/Accord/Corolla/Etc and enjoy the 30+ mpg easily.
I've heard/seen my share of horror stories with Audis/Euro cars in general, wouldn't go that route for a DD.

S2000's are quick cars, I think you can pull low 14's stock with them, but thats dumping the clutch at some ridiculous rpm. I have looked at every car you have suggested buying. If you are planning on any mods with the S2000, forget it, you will spend upwards of 2000 dollars for 3-6 hp.
The closest I came to not owning the my current car, was when I almost bought an S4. The problem with the audi is, if you need anything replaced, it is going to cost you a pretty penny. If the turbo goes, don't even bother taking it to a dealer, just upgrade it on your own.
In all honesty, when I sold my 95 z28, 5 years ago now, I missed it so much. I bought a Mustang GT and that was like owning an import lol. I sold that and bought an expedition and I am glad I sold that when I did. I then bought my SS and I could not be happier. If gas or money is the problem, just buy a civic for a few hundred bucks. If you want some speed, keep your car. You really seem set on getting something different though. I would say get an Evolution or an STI, but they would probably get worse gas mileage because of the awd. Good luck.

I don't want something slow and I don't want to be another Honda Civic on the road but I do want decent mpg. So I thought I would go with the s2000 and I dont have to worry about the s2000 breaking right? I also dont care about mods.

I dunno, I don't like S2000s. I think its a girls car, buts that just my opinion. Personally, I would go for something like a Evo, Sti/WRX or a 2000 S4 or any S4 that came with the bi turbo. They all have power in the same range. I mean, if its going to be your daily driver, you have space, decent MPG and speed.

you can have a fast car, or you can have a car with great MPG, you cant have both. you should really figure out which is more important to you. altho you can have a fast car with acceptable mpg, aka the ls1
