Soft sidewall gives you traction. I think the M/T radials have a better sidewall than the bias ply tires. I don't like that feeling either on the street, but its just something I have to deal with.

Yeah I've had alot of these things. My first car was a 1988 IROC. I thought I was the Sh@t in high school back in 1996, till a kid with a 95 T/A waxed my @SS. Headers and a air intake didn't help much against that LT1. I don't keep cars long. im a car dealer so I run into repos all the time. I damn sure will trade up if it's faster than the one I got at that time.

Hell no, you shouldnt use them when its wet. I imagine it would be like driving on ice.
Your fine, fine, fine, then whoosh. I love RWD, but damn I'm envious of AWD.
The rear wont last long, they don't handle hard shocks well. Manual plus sticky tires is a guaranteed failure.
