16 inch M/T drags. Can you hook a M6
I have a set of stock 16s that I want to use at the track and I was wondering if you M6 guys are hooking with them. I put 380 to the wheels and im tired of 2.2 or worse 60 foot times. I don't want to run a full slick,so I was wondering about the M/T or the hoosiers. Thanks guys.

I'm guessing you mean the drag radials. I make 423RWHP and I've pulled several mid 1.6xs with my best being 1.63 on the 255/50/16 MT DRs. I've lifted both front tires when launched properly. I love those tires. They're so much more stable on the second half of the track than ET streets and you could drive them to the track.

Its all in the suspension man. And with that RWHP you should have NO problems hooking up on a 275 40 17 tire. That is if your not looking for sub 1.6 short times. I pulled a 1.8 60 ft time with a set of BFG Comp G DR's, 275/40/17 and that was leaving easy as Im still on the 10 bolt. Im sure I could cut a 1.7 short time easy on this tire, and should be able to cut quite abit better on a 16 inch tire hence the bigger side wall.

he probably also has some stuff done to the suspension... half of hooking is in there. DR's/slicks can only get ya so far. but yea you should be able to hook pretty well with those tires, provided the track is prepped properly. my local track does track prep LITERALLY once every other month, if we are lucky. they have been threatened to be shut down for the past several years, so they refuse to throw money at it. lol might as well be racing on a regular street w/ a timer
