I have pacesetters ORY and a magnaflow exhaust with a electric cutout and it sounds great WOT but just simple driving through town it sounds like a farm truck. But if you have a electric one you can open it whenever you want and it fun to mess with ricers at a red light!!

It will be loud as hell! I have long tubes into an off road y then my cutout. After the cutout, and when closed, it runs through a 2.5" magnaflow catback and is just as qiuet as stock. The cutouts are really loud and will sound bad *** at firts but after a while you probably get tired of the sound. Hopefully you bought an E-cutout so you can close it and go through a quieter catback when closed. It will sound really loud, but they do get really raspy, bad raspy! If you learn how to drive with the cutout open, you can drive it so there is almost no rasp. It pretty much doesn't like amywhere from 2-4k rps and is really raspy when in that area. You can either avoid that area or just don't put the car under a lot of load in those rpms's. If you want to accelerate, just be sure to drop gears instead of staying in one gear and climbing through the rpms. this will help elimate much of the rasp.

with a stock cam idle and low rpm driving will sound like ****. Obnoxiously loud and raw sounding. It will literally scream at WOT though. Your going to attract alot of unwanted attention (cops).

I used to have dual cutouts right off of my headers. I miss having them. It would make the ground shake.

Well supposedly it's bad for your valves but I would have them open for probably about five minutes every month on average. It would be a great five minutes though.

I to have pace setter longtubes into a ORY and right into a single cutout. It does sound badass for a while.
I remember leaving Speed inc since they did the header swap+tune and I could not believe how loud it was but now im used to it. I remember leaving fora car show at 6am and I remember peoples lights being turned on and looking outside LOL. I could not find the cap to close it so I felt bad but hey it was sunday morning. I have a flowmaster catback when the cutouts closed and it really doesnt sound to bad but its not for me. My single manual cutout is open every single time I drive the car. When I get next to a light with a cop il pretend I didnt see the light change and let him get a few cars head so he doesnt bother me but I have yet to get pulled over for loud exhaust.Personally sometimes I love the loud but with I had a E cutout since on the highway ay 70+mph there is so much drone it sucks and gives me a headache after driving for a few hours

At ilde and WOT it AWESOME!!! Very loud and ppl will hate you and cops will follow you, but that doesnt change the fact that its GREAT!

however, coasting is okay. acceleration whenever not WOT and just cruise is gonna sound like crap

Sterios are for daily drivers. Cutouts are badass. I love mine. Im thinking about changing it though. 2 right after the headers, instead of one in the I pipe.

does it really make it that much louder having 2 instead of 1? just wonderin, cause i'll be gettin some soon, and was debating weather i should get 2 behind the headers or 1 in the I pipe.

Yes it does make a difference. The more pipe it has to travel through the quieter it will be. Also, one open cutout on each bank will be louder than one cutout after the Y pipe.

Best thing I ever did to my exhaust.

Even with just the one cutout though, you're going to love it at WOT. Just cruising around with it open will probably get old real quick though. They're nice to have though, no doubt.
