Whats a 01 SOM z28 worth?
So i posted up a thread last year where i found a old guy selling his car for 6g. 2001 SOM z28 with ttops m6 etc. Great condition inside and other. The only problem is the car has around 175k. I guess he didnt sell it and now he is asking 4995. So i thought about just offering him 4g. Would i be getting a good deal? Or a car that ill never be able to resell because of miles?

Honestly. The miles are out of control for a buyer. I LOVE SOM, but would never buy one with that kind of milage. However, it could be worth it to have the engine rebuilt only if the car itself is nice and clean. Thats the only way I'd buy it. But Z28s in the high 90k's sell for around 5-6 grand. Its hard to place some kind of value on a car with 175k miles.

thats alot of miles. if hes old, that might have been a ton of highway driven miles. If you are planning on modding, that thing might be snaping parts left and right. if it were me, i would shoot him a really low price and start there. depends on what your plans are for it. Just remember too that if you wver want to sell it, its going to be hard to move something with 175k+ on it

AS long as it was taken care of I'd buy it. There are tons of people on this board with LSX's over 225,000. I have personally seen a LS1 car take a 75 shot of Nos with 210,000 on the clock

if you want a car that was SOM from the factory and intend on modding the hell out of it, BUY IT. otherwise, if you're just wanting to drive it, i'd be cautious although it's just as likely a perfectly fine car. it's hard for us to say on the internet as none of us have seen or driven the car.
just use your better judgement and consider what your plans are for the car.

You won't be able to resell it, and you wont be able to trade it in for anything. As far as the drive train goes I personally would break it no matter how many miles it had. Find a car with a good body because the rest will get rebuilt anyways. If your looking for a project it wouldnt be to bad of a deal.
