whats the power difference between a 98 ls1 to a 02 ls1

they also have a different cam, comes out of a truck , and updated emissions...power wise ur not goin to c much of a difference

better exhaust manifolds, doesn't mean anything if you are going to headers, something to think about if you are staying stock-
No EGR- with the LS6 manifold- the truck cam has so much overlap no EGR needed-
Different part numbers for injectors, but the same flow
about a quarter of the '01 and '02's got the LS6 block, with better breathing between bays- no other supporting hardware though- LS1 cam and heads-
Factory rated at 310, but I think GM under-rated them all, citing more restrictive exhaust and intake- easily fixed, though....

the early ones had a bigger cam, and the 01-02 had the ls6 intake, so it pretty much equals out, if you have the early cam and the ls6 intake then they make slightly more, but its not a big differance either way. a few common mods and they all wake up..........
