Just say No.....or if it keeps you up at night because you're drawn to it. You really should then say no.
Other's are out there. I promise.

Yeah, I still think about it but in the long run I'm glad I'll have passed on it. If an LS1 can take that much, and more I'm really impressed. I like to drive hard but hitting the rev limiter just isn't necessary with so much power in these cars. He kinda laughed when the check engine light came on for about a minute.

If the person allows you to drive it, your legally covered under the insurance. I guess he's not in a hurry to sell.

These cars are not going for much right now...I would say that is a $9k car at best.

A friend of mine is looking at a 99 SS NBM A4 with 75k miles in great shape for $9k...FWIW.

For $14K... hell for $11K you could easily get a HELL of a nicer car than that. Screw that guy and let the dumbass who buys it once you leave deal with the eventual headaches.

He wants 14k for a car he beat the **** out of on a regular basis? Don't walk, RUN in the other direction. This tool has no idea of how to take care of the car or what it is worth.

I've seen this car around town. You won't be dissapointed. It use to have killer Black & Chrome wheels on it. But for $10,500 with the money in it and condition, i'm thinking you'll be alright. Fly in, hang at the beach a coupl'a days and drive home. It's in the Classified section on here as well.

I'd agree, no more than 10k. I'd never buy a car first though without being able to drive it. He won't let you test drive it I'd say no thanks.

If you can believe it winter is only about 3-4 months away. I'm going to save up and opt for a nice clean, low mileage C5. I'll also be moving to Washington where I can drive it year round.

If you dont want to spend a **** load on the car then avoid it. You give him 10 grand you'll end up spending close to that to get the car next to almost as good as a well maintained f-body. There is ALOT better out there for 10. Or even cheaper. Dont impulse buy, i did it once. Worst mistake of my life. Wait it out.
