Value of this Camaro
It's an 2001 Camaro SS, M6, 61k, miles. It has a cracked front bumper. The CD player is partially hanging and needs to be secured down. The driver window has a number scratched into it. Rock chips on the hood. Semi faded paint, swirly marks.
During the test "ride" cause I wasn't under the insurance. He flogged the **** out of it in 2nd gear bouncing off the rev limited two times. And did a mini power slide.
His asking price is 14k firm. How much is this worth? Or should I avoid it all together? I was thinking offering 10.5k. It books at 11.4k in fair condition.

Yeah, sounds like a plan. Why would you be bouncing the engine off the rev limiter on a test run? Doesn't sounds like a very good selling point to me.

sounds like its probaby been abused. if it books for 11.x, i would offer about $9.5k. i sold my 2000 ss auto with 83k and some mods for $8.9k a few weeks back. 14k is way to high. you might pass on this one..

Then again maybe he drives like an old woman and was trying to impress this guy.
Hitting the rev limiter is no big deal, thats what its there for.
Take the condition, mileage, features, and subtract from there.
An 01 M6 SS is going to sell. If you think you want it, you better make some kind of an offer. I'll bet lot's of people will go 10.5.

Simply put, what you've described sounds like a ragged out piece of ****. These cars aren't built like tanks and need to be taken care of. If you're willing to spend $10,000 you should keep looking, especially in the Classifieds here.
