on easy driving i hit second at like you know 50, and then third at 90..... jkjk
i usually do my gears by numbers. 20 second 30 third 40 fourth and so on.

been dring my Z for almost a year...and ima tell ya 1st to 4th does help(city drivin)....however if u shift to 6th before 50-55 your doing more harm than good...unless u have a feather light foot and only care to gain 1mph every 5-10sec
than dont bother shiftin to 6th until 50-55...your pcm is determining throttle position(and Mass air), which at low low rpms(6th gear around 1200-1500) will demand alittle more fuel to compensate for the load....ask me how i know![Rolleyes](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/rolleyes.gif)

i figured the same thing, it just seems like when you gas it at 45 in 6th it just bogs down and opens full throttle to get gas pumpin, doing more bad than good
