sell T/A for ws6
ive got a 99 t/a (my baby/first car)with exhaust, lid, and about 2500 in stereo stuff with 116k on the clock. would it be smart to sell it and pay 1500 of my own money to buy a perfect condition lower mile storck ws6? or should i put the money into rims and new paint?

I voted no before reading, but I might have to reconsider. Only $1,500 difference? The mileage alone could be worth that.. How low is it?
Any way you can return the system to stock and still make the money?

$1500 for a nice upgrade is a 'no-brainer' but are you being realistic about what you can get for your car?? The $1500 upgrade might be a good thought but is it just wishful thinking?? A 116,000 mile car that needs paint (does it?) may not be as valuable as you think. Don't get your hopes up too high unless this is all a very real possibility. Good luck!

well you said you hoped to get $6k out of your car. and there's also a $1500 difference in price. which puts a pristine low mileage WS6 at $7500? why is he selling the car that low? if that car is legit he could be your best friend but he's still losing a lot of money on that. if it is legit then i would jump all over it, unless you're just really attached to your car.

I'd stick with the T/A, don't get me wrong, I love my WS6, but I'd put the money into something else. Perhaps mods, perhaps invest it somewhere. It's just not a big enough of a difference to be worth the hastle and cost.

why would you do a clone WS6 when you could get a real one and the price difference is only $1500? more importantly the price difference is $1500 between a low mileage WS6 in great condition and the OP's TA with 119k miles.
my bandit: not a shot at your car at all, but looking at it from what both cars are worth to another buyer the WS6 looks like a steal.

a WS6 is a hood, a little suspension upgrade (you would probably upgrade later anyways) some bigger rims, (you would probably change those also) and a badge on the back, nothing special at all. But if you say the car is lower milage, mint, non-macco paint job, and $1500 diff than what you could get for yours, I would buy it. Or buy it, sell it, use the extra $$ which would be several thousand, and make yours even faster and fix the paint....
