6 speed all the way! Stalled auto for bracket racing or if you live and die for that last bit of ET.

Both have there pro's and con's. I've had both in the past year. I enjoy driving so much more with my m6 than I ever thought about in my a4.

Ah ... yet another A4 vs. M6 thread.

Dunno ... I have both in both LS1 and old school formats. I like 'em both equally in their own way, with the following caveat: the automatic must be shiftkitted, tuned, and stalled to be satisfying. They're lame - and thus very frustrating - the way they come from the factory. The only exception was the LT1 A4 with the peformance shift button. Those were nice right out of the box.

But if you've had one for a while and done your thing with it, it may be time for a change just to do something different.

I can't wait to do it..I'm ordering the Reverse Lockout and Reverse Light Connectors tomorrow. The wiring is a cake walk.. I've looked into it. I built the Harness that runs this Engine, so I can handle 2 connectors for the Tranny..
I'm custom-making the Center Console M6 Cover Plate as well..for the early LT1 Cars that's a bitch to find.

The messed up thing is that I can't sell my built Tranny at all to get the money..
I guess if it doesn't sell I'll have to get the T-56 when I get back from Iraq.
If I still have the Tranny that is in the Camaro I'll put it in my GMC Sierra..
